Uroš Predi? (Orlovat, December 7, 1857 - Belgrade, February 11, 1953) was one of the greatest Serbian Realist painters, along with Paja Jovanovi? and ?or?e Krsti?. Predi? is perhaps best known for his monumental historical painting, Kosovo Maiden, as well as his many portraits.Some of his famous works include Merry brothers, Orphan (on mother's grave), the historical painting Bosnia-Herzegovinian fugitives and perhaps his most recognizable Kosovo Maiden. Predi? also painted the famous portraits of the presidents of Serbian academy: Sima Lozani?, Stojan Novakovi? (1920), Jovan ujovi? (1921), Jovan Cviji? (1923), Slobodan Jovanovi? (1930), Bogdan Gavrilovi? (1935) Aleksandar Beli? (1940). He also painted portraits of Michael I. Pupin, Laza Kosti?, Mihailo Petrovi? Alas (1943), Ksenija Atanasijevi? (1917), Branislav Petronijevi? (1911) amongst others.
